Here is a collection of 22 more fonts that you can use on your
virtual consoles with Linux. Note that you will need the "setfont"
program, which is available from most sites. At the time of writing this,
the most current version is in:

	81038 Mar 3 01:59 kbd-0.85.tar.gz

Newer versions will undoubtedly work fine too. Note that you will need
a recent kernel to support the "setfont" program.

In the sub-directory "vfont-5.10" you will find 13 fonts derived from the
DOS vfont program, including the "gag" font with scrawl writing. There
is a README describing the fonts.

In the sub-directory "vfont-4.36" you will find 4 fonts that are extracted
from the older version of the DOS vfont program. There is a README
describing the fonts.

In the sub-directory "misc", there are some not-too-exciting fonts, which
include an alternative 8x14 and 8x16, a thin 8x14 and 8x8, and an 8x15
font as well.

The standard place for fonts at present is /usr/lib/kbd/consolefonts.
You may want to copy the ones you like to that directory. Then you can
put "setfont myfont.fnt" into your "rc.local" file if you like, so that
it is automatically used at bootup.

Enjoy,
Paul.
