INTRODUCTION:
=============
There are 4 fonts in this directory. They have been taken
from version 4.36 of the DOS program "vfont.com" These fonts have
been superceeded by the ones from vfont v5.10, but with these scrawl
fonts, you have the choice of straight or twisted drawing graphic
characters (such as those used in curses applications.) This option
is no longer available with the fonts from v5.10. Here are their
respective descriptions, taken from the vfont documentation:

     mod_s.fnt This loads the solid-line, modern font (modern-s). I
prefer this font GREATLY to the lousy default VGA ROM
font. Solid-line means what usually appears as double-
line line-drawing characters is rendered as a thicker
                    solid line.
mod_d.fnt This loads the modern font with the double-line line-
drawing characters (modern-d) as they are in the
default font for the traditional among you.
     scrawl_s.fnt This loads Scrawl, a handwritten-looking "scrawled"
font. Peoples' reaction to this font ranges from
horror to delight. Personally, I like it (for short
stretches anyway) it makes the computer screen less
perfect and even, more organic (!).
Even if you don't like it, its a great gag font - put
it on your co-workers computer today! Scrawl is an
                    extensively re-worked version of a public-domain font
                    (which had no name).
scrawl_w.fnt This loads Scrawl with the added attraction of
                    scrawled, wiggly line-drawing characters!

These fonts were taken from version 4.36 of the DOS program called
"vfont". It can be found via anon ftp on many sites as "vfont436.zip" which
is 5907 bytes. In this version of the program, the fonts are rolled into
the DOS "vfont.com" program, and hence are not that easy to recover.
I chased it through with a debugger and then extracted the fonts from
the "vfont.com" executable.
